Bilingual Pre-K Teacher with experience
From 8:30 am to 3 pm
$22 - $28 (based on experience and qualification)
SCOPE AND FUNCTION
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) Teacher to join our team. As a Pre-K Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering the early development and education of young children. You will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Your creativity, patience, and commitment to early childhood education will be essential in preparing our young learners for a successful transition to Kindergarten.
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITY
1- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
2- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
3- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
4- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes diversity and cultural awareness
5- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support each child's individual needs and development
6- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians as needed
7- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
8- Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Some experience teaching children 3-4 y/o
- CDA certificate (required)
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to respond to and communicate with person at all levels in a multicultural community
- To be accountable to the Director and head teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play
- Familiarity with literacy education, physical education, special education, and child welfare practices
SKILLS:
- Literacy education

- Portuguese preferred
