Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Line Supervisor to oversee operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a hands-on approach to managing the assembly line. This role is crucial in ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Production Supervision:
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure targets are met in terms of output, quality, and efficiency.
- Monitor the performance of production workers and provide feedback, guidance, and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and quality control procedures.
- Staff Management:
- Supervise and lead a team of up to 12 food production line workers.
- Assign tasks and allocate resources based on production requirements.
- Monitor attendance, work schedules, and manage overtime as necessary.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Problem-Solving:
- Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the production process, such as machine malfunctions, product defects, or bottlenecks.
- Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure machinery and equipment are functioning properly.
- Investigate and address the root causes of production delays or quality issues.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure production meets company quality standards by performing regular inspections and audits.
- Address quality issues promptly to prevent defective products from reaching the next stage in the production process.
- Train and educate team members on quality standards, operational procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
- Reporting:
- Maintain and update production records, such as production output, downtime, quality issues, and employee performance.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management regarding production goals, issues, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics, inventory control, and procurement, to ensure smooth workflow.

- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
- Ability to lift or carry moderately heavy materials, up to 50lbs if required.
- Comfort with working in a manufacturing or industrial setting, which may involve exposure to noise or chemicals (with appropriate safety precautions).
Education and Experience:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Associate’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in managing teams, production schedules, and troubleshooting production issues.
Working Conditions:
- Work Environment:
- The Line Supervisor typically works in a factory or production environment. Indoors and air conditioned.
- The job may involve exposure to machinery, loud noise, and potentially hazardous materials, with proper PPE required.
- The position may require long shifts, including weekends or overtime, depending on production schedules.
Performance Metrics:
The performance of a Line Supervisor is typically measured by:
- Production efficiency (e.g., meeting or exceeding production targets).
- Quality of products produced.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to assemble and fabricate components effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and assembly line processes is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions quickly.
