Competencies and Skills
In-depth knowledge of current avionics installations, including:
Cabin Wi-Fi Connectivity
Cabin Management Systems (CMS)
SATCOM (Inmarsat and Iridium)
FANS/ADS-B
Cockpit upgrades and modifications
Knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Corridor.
Ability to obtain and interpret required technical data, Service Bulletins (SBs), and Service Information Letters (SILs).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships through professionalism, tact, courtesy, and sound judgment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, establish deadlines, and successfully complete projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the use of hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and other avionics installation equipment.
Willingness to travel and provide on-call and weekend support as required.
Required Education and Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience, including at least 1 year of continuous Lead Technician experience performing complex avionics installations on business jets, including Gulfstream, Bombardier, and Dassault/Falcon aircraft.
Must have 8–12 years of Military or Corporate Aviation experience in avionics installations and troubleshooting.
Comprehensive understanding of avionics and electrical systems, operations, interfacing, and testing utilizing avionics test equipment.
Military avionics schooling and experience will be considered.
Airframe License required.
Must possess own tools.
