Established in 1972, Open Path Center provides supports for adults with developmental disabilities. Our goal is to help people develop the skills needed to become independent, self-determining, and integrated into the community.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for working one-on-one with someone to develop daily living skills, participate in recreational activities, and create a supportive and fun environment. Activities will focus on each person's needs, strengths, and interests, while supporting them to make decisions and advocate for themselves.
Responsibilities:
- Provide supports to adults with disabilities that allow people to develop daily living skills, as well as personal skills
- Implement Individual Support Plans and their goals
- Maintain daily documentation on service delivery
- Communicate individual changes or needs to supervision in a timely manner
- Follow all state, federal, and agency regulations and policies
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 or older
- Be able to pass a Drug Screen and Background Check
- High School or Equivalent
- Driver's License
- 1 Year Experience with Developmental Disabilities (Preferred)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Schedule:
- Part Time, 30 Hours
- Evenings
