Site Superintendent | Design-Build MEP Retrofits
Location: Columbus OH (Job site-based 4–5 days/week). Travel to Madison, WI for interim project support is required.

As the face of CEG you will bridge the gap between our Design-Build team, facility staff, and subcontractors to deliver high-impact, on-budget results to transform existing buildings into energy efficient smart buildings.
A Day in the Life
- On-Site Leadership: Direct daily operations for MEP/HVAC retrofit projects, supervising subcontractors and craft workers working with a Project Manager.
- Customer Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for facility staff, leading update meetings and navigating sensitive site issues.
- Project Controls: Maintain detailed schedules (P6/MS Project), manage budgets, and oversee procurement using tools.
- Quality & Safety: Enforce OSHA standards (zero-accident goal) and conduct rigorous technical inspections (including electrical/mechanical testing).
- Project Closeout: Drive efficient closeouts, managing punch lists and ensuring all work exceeds client expectations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture (or equivalent field experience).
- Experience: Minimum 4 years in construction as a Superintendent
- Technical Savvy: Deep understanding of HVAC, Electrical, BAS controls, and Plumbing.
- Communication Skills: Excellence in English (written/oral); conversational Spanish is a plus.
- Digital Literacy: Proficiency in MS Project, Bluebeam/AutoCAD, and Excel.
- Compliance: Valid Driver’s License/transportation, ability to pass background check and drug testing. OSHA 10/30 preferred. Must have ability to obtain security clearance to access client construction site.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to navigate active construction sites, including ladders and stairs.
- Ability to move/transport up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to work in environments with moving mechanical parts, varying weather, and loud noise (PPE provided).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $100,000 – $115,000 (commensurate with senior-level experience).
