We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Child Care Center Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of a vibrant early childhood education facility. Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership by establishing and executing strategic plans that promote excellence in early childhood education and operational efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate curricula that support childhood development milestones and foster creativity, social-emotional growth, and learning readiness.
- Manage the center’s budget, oversee financial planning, and ensure fiscal responsibility while maintaining high-quality programming.
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of teachers and staff through effective personnel management, professional development facilitation, performance evaluations, and team leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and educational laws including special education law requirements.
- Cultivate strong relationships with families through transparent communication, community engagement, and exceptional customer service.
- Oversee school administrative functions such as enrollment management, record keeping, policy implementation, and legal compliance related to childhood education.
- Coordinate fundraising efforts to support program enhancements, facility improvements, or community outreach initiatives.
- Facilitate ongoing staff training in instructional leadership, classroom management, childhood development best practices, and educational compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a school or child care center director with strong management skills in early childhood or K-12 education settings.
- Extensive knowledge of curriculum development tailored to early childhood development stages.
- Demonstrated success in managing budgets as an executive education administrator along with experience in school administrative leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of educational laws including special education law and regulatory requirements for childcare centers.
- Skilled in personnel management with experience supervising teachers and school staff; capable of conducting faculty evaluations and facilitating professional development.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of strategic planning, team building, and instructional leadership in educational environments.
- Excellent communication skills suitable for public speaking engagements with parents, staff meetings, or community events.
- Classroom experience working directly with young children to understand their developmental needs firsthand.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles combined with experience managing school operations effectively within legal frameworks.
