High energy private practice in downtown Lake Oswego looking to add an Optician. Office is well established and focused on maintaining a positive healthcare experience for all patients. We are looking for a cheery, friendly and caring individual. ABO certification is preferred but not necessary. Our office is small so we believe in cross training everyone so we can all help each other. This position will start as 60/40 Optician/Reception. Hours are Monday- Thursday 8:30-5:00 and Friday 8:30-1:00. . Flexible schedule available for full time or part time position, minimum 3 days a week. Compensation is competitive depending on work history and skill set.
Optical Tasks:
-Lens measurements & patient frame selection
-Spectacle ordering & dispensing
-Teaching contact lens insertion and removal
-Explaining insurance hardware benefits
-VSP exam and hardware billing
-Contact lens ordering and dispensing
-Frame adjustments
-Optical maintenance
Reception Tasks:
-Greeting Patients
-Scheduling Appointments
-Verifying Insurance Benefits
-Office Maintenance
-Collecting payments
-Scan records, email and fax
Technician Tasks:
-Basic exam pre-testing if needed
