We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This role is well suited for an attorney who is comfortable handling complex disputes while also advising clients on compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic personnel decisions. Associates work closely with partners on significant matters from inception through resolution and are expected to assume substantial responsibility as their experience develops.
Responsibilities
- Manage and litigate cases across various practice areas with independence and strategic insight
- Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, and substantive briefs
- Assist in discovery processes including document review, depositions, and interrogatories
- Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
- Provide strategic litigation and pre-litigation advice to employers and employees
Qualifications
- Single-plaintiff employment litigation, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, and leave-related claims
- Working knowledge of California employment statutes and civil procedure
- Excellent legal writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive documents
- 6+ years of litigation experience in state and/or federal court
- Familiarity with legal administrative processes and case management software in a law office setting
- Active membership in the California Bar, or ability to obtain admission promptly
Salary Range : $165,000-$175,000 DOE
