Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate General Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placements.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, diagnosing dental conditions, and developing personalized treatment plans aligned with healthcare diagnosis standards.
- Utilize dental terminology accurately when explaining procedures and diagnoses to patients to ensure clear understanding.
- Maintain precise medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws.
- Operate dental equipment efficiently using aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient care delivery.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment options, post-operative care, and preventive strategies to promote ongoing oral health.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and medical imaging tools to enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes.
Requirements
- Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice general dentistry; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or anesthesiology are a plus.
- Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex procedures, including dental extractions, root canal therapy, implants, oral surgery, orthodontics, and prosthodontics.
- Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and education.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and the use of anesthesia during procedures when necessary.
- Ability to work efficiently within a team using four-handed dentistry techniques while maintaining high standards of aseptic technique.
- Knowledge of state healthcare regulations governing medical documentation and patient privacy laws is essential.
