This is a great opportunity for a PTA looking for a 13-week contract assignment in a skilled nursing facility with a quick start date.

Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, transfers, and functional activities.
- Implement individualized treatment plans according to the patient's goals and plan of care.
- Monitor patients' progress, tolerance, and response to treatment and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients in improving strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and independence.
- Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises, mobility techniques, and safe practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress.
- Follow facility policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nurses, nursing assistants, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining a safe environment.
Requirements
- Active California PTA License — must be currently active.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- SNF experience preferred.
- Knowledge of NetHealth (Rehab Optima) preferred.
- Ability to work day shifts.
- Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
