****MUST HAVE MOBILE CRISIS TRAINING***
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Mobile Crisis Team.
- Assessing crisis situations and providing immediate crisis support to communities within the catchment area; responding within 1 hour to crisis episodes.
- Applies knowledge of crisis response to individuals who are experiencing a mental health and/or substance use crisis.
- Provides crisis services to individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities and/or developmental disabilities (ID/DD).
- Applies knowledge regarding the nature of serious mental illness (SMI), substance use disorders (SUD), serious emotional disturbance (SED), and/or ID/DD, depending on the population served.
- Provides de-escalation services.
- Provides support for individuals in crisis.
- Documents all services and results in the individual's electronic health record by established deadlines and documents progress and maintains a permanent record of the individual's activity according to established methods.
- Oversees Medicaid and Medicare related documentation, record keeping, and billing.
Minimum Requirements
All applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be considered qualified for the position:
- Bachelor's degree with a major course of study in Human Services acceptable by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
- QMHP or QMHP-eligible and/or combination of professional work experience with a psychiatric population that qualifies for QMHP certification.
- Be available to work between home, office, and within the community catchment area.
- 1 year documented clinical experience.
