Poke House Kitchen Member - Food Prep
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that each guest has a memorable experience by preparing Poke House menu items in a timely manner.
- Stock service line with necessary menu items or equipment and support staff where needed.
- Follow Poke House checklists, guidelines, and procedures to ensure that our kitchens are always properly stocked with inventory.
- Ability to follow all Food Safety Requirements, guidelines, and procedures set forth by Poke House, local, state, and federal employment regulations.
- Maintain proper temperatures on all products complying with company food safety requirements as well as local health codes.
- Store food items to comply with proper food labeling and storage
- Protect our guests by following all food safety standards by maintaining a neat, clean and safe work environment.
- Foster a safe work environment by maintaining the cleanliness of floors, equipment, counters, reach-in fridges, and walk-in coolers at all times
- Be knowledgeable about menu items including ingredients and possible allergens.
- Prepare menu items following proper directions, exact recipe steps, and using a proper measuring tool.
- Partner with the management team on food quality & consistency.
- Complete required work duties & end of shift management checkouts.
- Clean the required deep clean areas assigned by management.
- Take the required meal and rest breaks as required by law.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Be able to communicate in the primary language(s) of the work location
- Food safety certification
- Open and flexible availability (variable hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed)
- Physical requirements: Long periods of standing, walking and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
