One Security Company is looking to hire a part-time security guard available to work any shift (days/swing/overnights). This position is guaranteed 2 shifts per week with additional shifts to pick up as they are available.

Key Responsibilities of an Armed Security Professional:
● Access Control & Force Protection:
- Control entry and egress at designated Site Access Control Points.
- Screen all personnel for unwanted and unauthorized individuals.
- Maintain established force protection measures and conduct thorough vehicle inspections.
- Limit entrance to authorized personnel with valid government-issued identification.
- Maintain detailed logs of all entrants, including names, vehicle license numbers, purpose of visit, and duration of stay.
- Secure main gates during non-operational hours or heightened security concerns.
● Patrol & Surveillance:
- Conduct random, varied, and thorough roving patrols (foot, motorized, or combined) covering entire facilities, including perimeters, Mission Essential or Vulnerable Areas (MEVAs), key points of entry, vehicles, and aircraft.
- Maintain constant motion and active patrolling throughout the shift.
- Verify the security of key points, inspect MEVAs, and report any abnormalities.
- Monitor Electronic Security Systems, Automated Access Control Systems, Closed Circuit Television, Intrusion Detection Systems, and Security Control Centers, initiating appropriate responses.
● Incident Response & Reporting:
- Promptly identify and record unauthorized persons on premises.
- Notify local law enforcement if criminal involvement is suspected or if an unauthorized person refuses to leave.
- Maintain a daily blotter to record all daily activities and site-specific vehicle checks.
- Maintain constant communication with the dispatch office.
- Maintain a constant fire watch, notifying relevant departments if a fire is discovered, and directing emergency responders.
- Adhere to guidelines for rules of force, utilizing the minimum degree of force necessary.
● Professional Conduct & Compliance:
- Strictly adhere to all state laws and statutes, and company policies.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and a courteous attitude.
- Remain awake and alert at all times.
- Wear and maintain approved uniforms and all issued gear according to policy.
- Participate in and pass all required training programs.
- Sign a non-disclosure agreement covering sensitive information.
- Utilize company-approved motorized vehicles for patrols at specific sites as required
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum twenty-one (21) years of age
- High-school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass drug screening and physical agility testing (upon initial hire and annually)
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather
- Must possess personal qualities of good conduct and character, integrity, dependability, and good mental and physical fitness
- Ability to effectively use issued semi-automatic pistols (minimum 9MM caliber) using standard ammunition
- Must possess and maintain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) or equivalent background check (including DPSST fingerprint, LEDS, and NCIC checks)
- No felony conviction, Class A misdemeanor conviction, or conviction of any crime involving dishonesty
- Must not be registered as a sex offender
- Must pass a specific inquiry into suitability as per the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 for armed security guard employment.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
