Cortex Residential is now seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to assist in the management of rental apartment properties at multiple sites in the Berks County area.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartment buildings and units, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and units to identify and address maintenance issues
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents in a timely and professional manner
- Install and maintain appliances, fixtures, and equipment in apartments
- Maintain and repair common areas, including hallways, laundry rooms, and fitness centers
- Keep accurate records of work performed and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Perform on-call duty for after-hours emergency maintenance requests on a rotating basis
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Final hourly rate determined by years of experience
