As part of the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing solutions that keep goods moving efficiently. The Warehouse Lead has general responsibility for coordinating and monitoring warehouse activities daily. Under the direction of Contract Logistics Site Supervisors, the Contract Logistics Team Lead will effectively motivate others to work hard, meet company goals, and foster a healthy collaborative work environment. The Contract Logistics Team Lead will be responsible for supporting the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
- Oversee all daily department activities and ensure all processes are followed accurately
- Ensure employees are assigned daily tasks to meet department objectives.
- Track and log production units and labor on Hourly Production Board and department Daily log.
- Ensure all email correspondence are responded to in a timely manner.
- Process and maintain client products accurately to ensure products are accounted for from Inbound to Outbound.
- Ensure all material/product movements are audited and transferred timely and accurately.
- Ensure Logistic Tickets are completed for all PO’s that have discrepancies.
- Ensure all POs are received complete and take appropriate action to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist employees as needed to complete daily objectives.
- Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion
- Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation.
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Verify all housekeeping logs and 5S are completed and up to date.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA an MSDS standards.
- Adhere to Kuehne + Nagel’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Program polices and procedure.
Experience:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a Warehousing Reverse/Return function.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a Warehouse or Manufacturing environment.
Skills and/or Abilities:
- Familiar with SAP/Infolog software
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Outlook
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be able to switch between tasks effectively
- Must be able to prioritize responsibilities
- Must be organized
- Ability to efficiently solve problems
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
- Ability to effectively lead and train other employees
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to occasionally lift 40 to 50 pounds.

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
