American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week travel assignment at a skilled nursing facility in Salinas, California, serving a diverse rehabilitation population on California's Central Coast.

Skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting in Salinas, CA
-
Interdisciplinary rehabilitation team including OTs, PTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and physicians
-
Diverse patient population including orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and medically complex cases
-
Sunday–Thursday shift schedule
-
Documents treatments using Net Health electronic medical records
-
Active California COTA license required if applicable
-
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
-
Current CPR/BLS certification required
-
SNF experience preferred; motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply

Experience with Net Health EMR preferred

Provide skilled OT treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
-
Implement individualized treatment plans targeting ADL performance, functional mobility, upper extremity function, cognition, and safety awareness

Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on adaptive equipment, home safety, and functional strategies
-
Participate in care conferences, team meetings, and discharge planning collaboration
-
Maintain compliance with Medicare, state, and facility documentation standards
