Client Profile
Our client is a well-established manufacturer specializing in high-quality rubber components and products. They are seeking a dependable and motivated Extrusion Operator to join their production team. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working around manufacturing equipment, enjoys hands-on work, and can maintain quality and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor extrusion machinery used in the production of rubber components.
- Load raw materials into extrusion equipment according to production requirements.
- Monitor machine settings, temperatures, speeds, and material flow throughout the extrusion process.
- Inspect extruded materials for defects, inconsistencies, and other quality concerns.
- Measure finished products using appropriate measuring tools to ensure specifications are met.
- Make basic machine adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Follow work orders, production specifications, and established operating procedures.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material issues, or quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation as required.
- Safely handle and move raw materials and finished products throughout the production area.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform additional production duties as assigned by management.
What You'll Bring
- Previous extrusion, machine operating, rubber manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
- Previous experience working around industrial manufacturing machinery is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn extrusion equipment and processes.
- Ability to monitor machinery and recognize changes that could affect product quality.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a production team.
- Ability to stand and remain active for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to regularly bend, reach, push, pull, and move throughout the production area.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials as required by the position.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, machinery, and noise levels.
