Nursery Technician Position Overview:

The ideal candidate is detail oriented with prior experience in cannabis propagation and must be familiar with cloning techniques, watering plants by hand, and Mother plant care.

The Nursery Technician will be reporting to the Nursery Lead and Director of Cultivation for daily tasks.

Nursery Technicians will be required to learn how different cultivars/strains grow, and how to identify a variety of pests/pathogens.

This is a labor-intensive position that requires good critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing tasks.
Responsibilities include:

Transplanting rooted clones into coco.
-
Topping and pruning vegetative plants.
-
Taking cuttings from Mother plants and sticking cuttings into rockwool.
-
Pruning Mother plants according to cultivar and cloning needs.
-
Preparing grow media for clones and/or transplants.
-
Mixing and applying biostimulants/pesticides via foliar sprays and drenches.
-
Releases beneficial/predatory insects.
-
Irrigating by hand according to plants size and needs.
-
Following strict biosecurity protocols, maintaining sanitation of tools and person.

Working at a fast pace under warm and humid conditions - vegetative rooms average 75+ degrees and 65% relative humidity.

Cleaning tables, mopping floors, and filling footbaths with sanitation solution.

Standing/squatting/bending with arms extended for long periods of time.

Affixing METRC tags to plant lots and individual plants.
-
Scouting for and reporting any pests and pathogens (powdery mildew, botrytis).

Any other task assigned by the Nursery Manager or Director of Cultivation.

Perform basic mathematical calculations converting various units of measurements.

Escalate issues to appropriate channels using clear written/verbal communication.
Minimum Requirements:

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

At least of legal age.
-
Background check required.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Fundamental knowledge, as well as the ability and interest to be taught and guided in areas related to cultivation and processing operations and procedures.

Shows self-motivation and the ability to work well with others.
-
Ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences, especially with the direct supervisors and other team member.
