They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required.Under direct supervision, performs lifeguard duties and maintains pool, restroom areas, grounds, and buildings at the Wet Zone Waterpark. Performs other duties as assigned.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Performs lifeguard duties; guards pool, rescues swimmers in need, administers first aid, enforces adherence to safety rules in the pool, completes forms, maintains certification through in-service training, performs safety inspections daily. Maintains pool, restroom areas, grounds, and buildings in the water park area; maintains mechanical equipment, checks backwash, cleans screens, picks up trash, cleans decks, vacuums, cleans bathrooms and performs miscellaneous janitorial duties; attends in-service training on a weekly basis. Performs maintenance tasks, and repairs equipment and property as needed.Performs lifeguard duties at special events and facility rentals. Reads and follow all safety precautions listed on chemicals prior to handling; reads and becomes familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Responsible for regular attendance and arriving to work on time.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Will work a varying schedule, including weekends and holidays as designated by the Water Park Safety Supervisor. American Red Cross Shallow Water Lifeguard training required. Environmental factors consist of working outside in the heat, sun, high humidity and wind. Exposure to HTH, chlorine, muriatic acid, pool chemicals, and slippery surfaces. Basic noise factors consist of crowds and whistles. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
