JOB FUNCTION:
Responsible for greeting all customers/patients, collecting and documenting correct demographics and billing information, and maintaining an orderly flow of patients through the waiting areas. Performs other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:

Secure and obtain accurate patient demographics/financial information

Verify patient insurance benefits as well as request co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance

Cross-train in all registration areas, multi-tasking/organization skills are a must

Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, family members and staff

Adhere to work schedule and demonstrates flexibility to work any and all shifts

Demonstrates positive attitude as well as ability to be a team player to promote and provide a positive patient experience

Transition with shift relief and operate switch board functions

Familiar with offices procedure and office machines

Make copies of patient outpatient and inpatient packets as necessary
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Two years hospital or clinical experience preferred
-
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Job Knowledge:

Knowledge of all insurance payers

Computer and office equipment knowledge

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time

Walking between departments and patient rooms
License:

BLS/CPR certification is required

CPI/MOAB certification is preferred
