Patient Service Coordinator – Priority Physical Therapy
Priority Physical Therapy is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Patient Service Coordinator to join our growing team. This front-office position plays a key role in creating a positive first impression for patients and supporting their rehabilitation journey through exceptional administrative and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients upon arrival
- Schedule appointments, manage cancellations, and optimize therapist schedules
- Assist new patients with intake paperwork
- Collect patient payments and maintain accurate payment records
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations, including workers' compensation approvals
- Maintain patient documentation and communicate with referring physicians
- Answer phones and manage emails, faxes, and mail correspondence
- Prepare daily and weekly reports
- Maintain a clean and professional front office environment
- Explain insurance benefits to new patients
- Perform data entry and utilize Microsoft Office applications
- Submit billing files daily and monitor incoming payments
- Support additional administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of reception, customer service, or front office experience preferred
- 1-2 years of medical insurance and billing experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
