American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Tucson, AZ, requiring 2+ years of PACU experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.

Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting within a hospital environment
-
Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
-
13-week contract
-
10–12 days of on-call required per 6-week schedule period
-
Floating to other units required on an as-needed basis

Uses Cerner EMR
-
No blocked scheduling or 48-hour shift options available

Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Minimum 2 years of recent PACU RN experience required
-
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Valid U.S. driver's license required for consideration

U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration

Provides post-anesthesia nursing care collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff

Applies critical thinking and clinical judgment in anticipating and planning safe patient care delivery

Delegates care priorities and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel based on staff education and experience

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted

Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered

Any RTO requests must be less than one week in duration

Scrubs of any color are acceptable

Cerner EMR experience is relevant to this role
