PRIMARY PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
JOB SUMMARY As CNC machinist you will be specializing in the production of aircraft wheel and brake components, aerospace fasteners, fuse plugs, and other critical flight hardware. With attention to close tolerancing and micro finishes. Utilized precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques to ensure dimensional accuracy, quality, and compliance with aerospace industry standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Able to follow and interpret G code programing accurately
- Proficient in the use of precision measurement instruments
- Accurately record and document dimensional measurements
RESPONSIBILITIES Machine set-up, including preparing CNC lathe equipment for production runs by reviewing work instructions, drawings, tooling requirements, and G-code programs; installing and verifying proper work holding, fixtures, cutting tools, inserts, offsets, and machine parameters; performing first-piece inspections and making necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet required tolerances, surface finish standards, and quality requirements prior to full production.
Verification of material for the correct job, including confirming material type, size, heat lot, specification, and quantity against the work order, traveler, drawing requirements, and applicable material certifications prior to machining.
ORGANIZATION This position reports to Production Manager.
DECISION MAKING This position requires frequent decision making and the ability to plan and perform with general operation methods/procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION & · Authorization to work in the United States required.
CERTIFICATIONS · High school degree or GED.
EXPERIENCE
- At least two years’ experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The typical level of noise for the work environment of this position ranges from 80 to 100dBA with moderate traffic. Work is performed near moving mechanical parts.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach with hands or arms. Must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus), and depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships) are required to read documents on paper and computer screens. Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) is helpful when dealing with color-coded documents. Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up/down or to the left/right while eyes are fixed on a given point. Physical demands are minimal. Needs to work with computers, access, and use various computer software programs.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
