Overview
Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, utensils, and food service areas
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dish room, and dining areas in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Remove trash according to facility procedures
- Follow infection control, food safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Support dietary staff with light cleaning and kitchen tasks as assigned
- Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor with guests and team members

Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards and prevent cross-contamination.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and prep work under supervision.
- Support the kitchen team by bussing tables and clearing plates during busy service times to maintain a clean dining environment.
- Handle manual cleaning duties when necessary, including scrubbing cookware and cleaning workstations to uphold sanitation standards.
- Adhere to all kitchen health and safety regulations, including proper knife handling and safe lifting techniques for heavy items.
- Maintain organization of dishware storage areas and ensure proper disposal of waste according to sanitation guidelines.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are highly valued.
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is a plus.
- Ability to operate commercial dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely.
- Experience with food handling, basic food prep, or culinary activities is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards ensures a safe working environment for all team members.
- Prior banquet or large-scale food service experience can be beneficial but is not essential; training will be provided.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
