Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Full-Time
Job Summary:
Port Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. As a CNA, you will perform routine tasks as assigned by the Charge Nurse and provide assistance to professional nursing staff to meet the personal needs and comfort of our residents. Responsibilities:
Perform daily tasks as assigned by the Charge Nurse, including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), vital signs, and vital statistics
Provide emotional support and comfort to residents
Document resident care and maintain accurate medical records
Assist with meal service, feeding, and nourishment
Participate in informal and formal resident care meetings as requested
Perform other related duties as needed
Requirements:
C.N.A. certification as evidenced by completion of Nurse's Aide Training Program approved in accordance with the State of Massachusetts Public Health Code and a passing score on the MA Nurse's Aide Certification Exam
Clean ASI registry check
Previous CNA experience desirable, but not essential
Ability to read, write, and comprehend English; ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position assignment
Ability to cope with the mental, emotional, and physical stress of the position
Ability to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility

Additional Requirements:
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, proper body mechanics required - bending, stooping, turning, stretching, and reaching above the shoulders are involved
Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics/equipment that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Mechanical devices are provided and are required to assist in proper lifting techniques
