The Role & Your Impact
We are seeking one (1) Full-Time Overnight Rover Patrol Security Officer split between Las Olas and Seven Isles communities in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
This role is critical in maintaining safety, operational flow, and resident confidence during overnight hours. You will serve as a mobile, observant, and proactive presence, balancing patrol duties, incident response, and resident interaction with professionalism and situational awareness.
Success in this role requires reliability, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to assess situations quickly while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Core Responsibilities
Rover Patrol & Security Operations (Primary Function)
- Conduct routine and randomized patrols of property, and perimeter
- Perform inspections and document all findings accurately
- Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, or maintenance concerns
- Maintain a highly visible presence to deter incidents
Access Control & Community Safety
- Monitor and support access points as needed
- Verify residents, guests, and vendors according to site protocols
- Respond to incidents using sound judgment and de-escalation techniques
- Support overall community safety through proactive observation
Resident Engagement & Reporting
- Interact with residents and visitors with professionalism and respect
- Provide assistance while maintaining security standards
- Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
Team Contribution & Continuous Improvement
- Work collaboratively with team members across both locations
- Demonstrate accountability, punctuality, and professionalism
- Contribute observations to improve overall site operations
- Maintain a positive, solution-oriented mindset
Qualifications & Professional RequirementsRequired
- Valid Florida Class D Security License
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Fluent English (verbal and written proficiency required)
- Residential security experience
- Excellent report writing ability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven problem-solving and analytical thinking ability
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to remain focused and refrain from personal device use while on duty
- Reliable transportation
- Must be punctual with a strong attendance record
- Ability to work weekends and/or holidays as scheduled
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing
- Must pass criminal background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- U.S. Citizen or authorized to work with valid documentation
Preferred
- Prior rover patrol experience
- High-end residential or HOA security experience
- Strong customer service or hospitality background
Grooming & Professional Standards
- Assigned uniform must be worn on every shift, including required footwear
- No visible tattoos (neck, face, hands, forearms)
- No facial piercings or mouth jewelry
- Facial hair must be clean, groomed, and professional (no heavy beards)
- Maintain a clean-cut, professional security appearance at all times

Compensation
- $17.00/hour (Las Olas shifts)
- $18.00/hour (Seven Isles shift)
- Biweekly pay via direct deposit

Available Work Schedule
Full-Time Overnight Rover Schedule:
- Sunday: 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM (Las Olas)
- Monday: 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM (Las Olas)
- Wednesday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Seven Isles)
- Friday: 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM (Las Olas)
- Saturday: 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM (Las Olas)
- Off: Tuesday & Thursday
