Hiring one teacher for a Pre-K class for 4 & 5 year olds. Must be loving, dependable and flexible, must show up for work, follow guidelines for program objectives, be able to do lesson planning and coordinate/work with other teachers on planning, have a knowledge of child development/how a child learns, some child care experience preferred or experience with caring for children.Will train the right person. Need to have at least a High school diploma.
Responsibilities include prepping lessons and room each day and helping children learn so they are prepared for the next step (Kindergarten). Must be able to provide a safe supervised environment. Daily cleaning of the classroom and toys/supplies is required. Also need to be able and willing to help with extra activities/events (annual Parent Breakfast, two annual in house fundraisers (chili supper and garage sale), Family Feast and Graduation/Closing program). Being able to do Team work is a must!
Hours are Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8am to 12:30 pm. Training starts late August, classes start after Labor Day and run thru May, following the public school calendar.
