RATE OF PAY WILL COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE.
Summary: Diagnose, service, repair, recondition and assemble new and used customer and dealership equipment including small handheld equipment to large row crop equipment. Maintains and operates shop equipment and tools, performs quality work, as quickly and profitably as possible. Must be able to learn and use lap-top / tablet communications software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Diagnose, repair, recondition, service, and assemble equipment as assigned by Service Manager.
Repairs equipment, including but not limited to, all size tractors, small engines, lawn mowers, all-terrain vehicles, construction and farm equipment.
Maintains accurate and easy to read records of work performed.
Reports any work shortages and malfunctions of shop equipment to Service Manager.
Completely disassembles and inspects equipment as quickly as possible, so parts may be ordered promptly, and machine work can be properly quoted and scheduled.
Recommends any additional necessary repairs to Service Manager and/or Customer.
Keeps shop vehicles clean and properly serviced. Reports any problems with vehicles to Service Manager.
Stays up to date with technical changes and participates in continuing education with factory service schools.
Pays special attention to repeat repairs or comebacks to correct problems and avoid future job comebacks and unnecessary dealership expenses.
Fabricates and welds metal parts together when necessary.
Makes service calls as assigned by Service Manager.
