Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for monitoring equipment, repair tasks, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure ongoing Hatchery facility performance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Building/Mechanical repairs & maintenance consistent with OSHA standards
· Perform general & preventative maintenance of electrical systems
· Repair small machinery, egg racks, hatchery automation equipment, and specialized hatchery production equipment, and assist with repairs of equipment. (On the job training provided).
· Maintain heating and plumbing systems
· Inspect alarm systems and schedule needed repairs
· Assist in setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems
· Additional duties assigned by management
Additional Duties:
· On-call duties are a required part of this job
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Fluent in English (comfortably speak, write, and understand with ease)
· Basic understanding of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Teams
· Bilingual a plus
· Must have reliable transportation
· Detail oriented
· Ability to troubleshoot problems in critical situations
· Ability to work as a team with other members of the Maintenance team and Hatchery
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED
· Background in Maintenance or related field with at least 2 years of experience
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift 50lbs
· Stand on concrete floors 8+ plus hours per day
· Occasional work in confined spaces
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
