Primoris Power Solutions is hiring a Senior Estimator! The Senior Estimator is a seasoned professional responsible for developing accurate and detailed cost estimates for complex high voltage construction projects.
The Senior Estimator is a seasoned professional responsible for developing accurate and detailed cost estimates for complex high voltage construction projects. This role requires strong technical proficiency, leadership, and collaboration across departments to ensure estimates align with project goals and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of detailed cost estimates using B2W software. Utilizing Item Price + WBS “Hybrid” estimating.

Analyze and understand project scope, drawings, specifications, and RFP documentation to determine labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

Engage subcontractors early in the pursuit process, issue RFPs, and evaluate proposals using Best Value templates.

Collaborate with scheduling leads and operations to define milestone dates, critical path, construction durations, and float, contributing to a functional schedule.

Maintain rigorous document control practices across pursuit folders, including estimate files, subcontractor quotes, and review documentation.

Conduct and actively participate in constructability reviews to evaluate project feasibility and execution strategies. Engage in quality assurance reviews to validate the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of estimates.

Perform comprehensive risk analysis by identifying known and potential project risks, and maintain a detailed risk registry to document consequences, probabilities, mitigation strategies, and budget impacts, including targeted contingency planning.

Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of estimating experience in power delivery or related construction sectors with concentration in EPC

B2W Estimating software experience, (minimum 2-year required).

Proficiency in B2W, On-Screen Take-off, Excel, Microsoft Project, and Power Point.

Strong understanding of construction means and methods for air-insulated substations.

Excellent communication and organizational skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Proven ability to establish, develop, and maintain subcontractor relationships.
