Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Assistant to support our educators in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for students.
The ideal candidate will assist in the delivery of educational programs, provide individualized attention to students, and contribute to the overall development of children in our care. This role is crucial in fostering a positive classroom atmosphere and supporting the diverse needs of our students.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
- Support students with special needs, including those with autism and other disabilities.
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Provide small group instruction to reinforce literacy and math skills.
- Assist in curriculum development and lesson planning as needed.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual student needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space.
- Engage with children, promoting social skills and teamwork.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members about student progress.
Skills
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment.
- Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to assist in lesson planning, curriculum development, and literacy education.
- Experience in daycare or preschool settings is a plus; Montessori experience is also valued.
- Understanding of math concepts relevant to early education levels.
