Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Store Manager to lead our retail team and drive store success. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the retail team, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff performance to foster a motivated and high-performing workforce
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning of sales, inventory management, cash handling, and customer service processes
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed store targets while maintaining excellent customer relations
- Handle employee orientation, interviewing, scheduling shifts, and supervising staff to ensure operational efficiency
- Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budgeting activities to maintain financial health of the store
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, sales tracking, and reporting; ensure accurate cash handling and cashiering procedures
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide training & development opportunities, and promote a positive work environment
- Implement marketing initiatives within the store to attract customers and boost sales
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures at all times
Skills
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with strong leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and bookkeeping tasks
- Proficiency in retail math for pricing, sales analysis, and budgeting purposes
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing decisions, and vendor relations to optimize inventory levels and costs
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail operations management tools
- Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, training & development programs, and supervising staff performance
- Knowledge of retail industry sales techniques including merchandising strategies and marketing initiatives
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills to ensure positive shopping experiences
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience is preferred for seamless transition into store leadership roles
