We are looking for a highly motivated, reliable, and hard-working Set-up Technician to add to our growing team. If this is you, we want to hear from you!
THIS IS A NON-RELOCATION POSITION
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set and pull molds (knowledge of setting up hydraulic cores)
- Set up auxiliary equipment
- Help with starting machines
- Help supervisor in answering alarms
- Debug auxiliary equipment problems
- Performs necessary preventative maintenance on molds
- Maintain a clean working area during changeovers
- Comfortable with communicating across departments
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with setting up molds
- Must be able to safely work around molding machines
- Must be able to operate forklift and the overhead crane
- Must be able to work independently
- Good communication skills –written & oral
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Interpret machine controls and instructions in the English language
- Some processing knowledge required’
- Flexibility to take on other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to hear machine alarms
- Good mobility, energy level & ability to routinely lift 50 pounds
- Requires good visual acuity and the ability to detect visual changes in plastic
- Able to climb ladders up to 6 feet
- Physical strength to perform ratcheting motion to torque settings
- Good mobility for high physical activity including but not limited to reaching, standing, stooping, squatting, & crawling to access machine areas
