The ideal candidate for this position will possess a keen attention to detail, a mechanical aptitude, and prior experience operating CNC turning equipment within a precision manufacturing setting.
Operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs) in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensure quality control is maintained throughout the machining process.
Monitor machining operations to guarantee parts meet customer specifications.
Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect and measure in-process and finished parts.
Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
Operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously as assigned.
Promptly report equipment malfunctions or production concerns to the direct supervisor.
Adhere to all standard operating procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Effectively communicate with team members across all shifts.
Maintain accurate production records and documentation as needed.
Perform basic machine maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels, coolant, and routine cleaning.
Keep the work environment clean, organized, and safe.
Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the VP of Operations promptly.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, travelers, and technical documentation.
Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and other inspection tools.
Familiarity with:
CNC tool holders
Cutting tools
Fixtures
Machine accessories
Knowledge of basic machine maintenance procedures.
Strong mathematical skills, including geometry and algebra.
Excellent attention to detail and dedication to quality.
Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
