Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Server to join our dynamic team in a casual upscale dining environment. To support this, management actively balances guest rotation to create a fair workspace where everyone succeeds together.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing menus and offering assistance with any inquiries.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the TOAST POS system, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining a high standard of presentation and quality.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Process payments efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and efficiently completing daily shift and side-work.
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate effectively regarding menu items.
- Maintain a flexible but positive attitude throughout the day, prioritizing overall guest experience.
- Proactively collaborate with peers during high-volume shifts and private events, working together to ensure the overarching service runs smoothly.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry.
- Experience in fine dining settings is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Culinary knowledge is a plus, enhancing your ability to easily describe menu items to guests.
- Familiarity with classic cocktails and wine service is advantageous—enhancing your ability to confidently recommend pairings, elevate the guest experience, maximize sales.
- Excellent hospitality skills, demonstrating a genuine desire to help guests enjoy their dining experience.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail during busy service periods.
- Familiarity with TOAST POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
