Part-Time Physician Assistant – Personal Injury and Rehabilitation
Job description
Advanced Injury Care Center is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Florida-licensed Physician Assistant to join our personal-injury, chiropractic, and rehabilitation clinic in Jacksonville.
The PA will work on-site while collaborating with and practicing under the supervision of our medical director. The position will involve evaluating patients injured in motor-vehicle accidents, developing medically appropriate treatment plans, coordinating diagnostic and specialty care, completing timely documentation, and supporting the clinic’s medical services.
The ideal candidate has experience in personal injury, pain management, orthopedics, urgent care, primary care, rehabilitation, or occupational medicine. Strong documentation skills and familiarity with Florida auto-accident cases are highly preferred.

Responsibilities
- Perform medical evaluations of patients injured in motor-vehicle accidents.
- Obtain and review accident histories, medical histories, medications, allergies, symptoms, and prior treatment.
- Conduct appropriate physical, orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal examinations.
- Identify red flags and determine when emergency care, imaging, or specialist referral is necessary.
- Establish medical diagnoses and treatment plans within the PA’s authorized scope and supervising-physician protocols.
- Order medically appropriate diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, referrals, and follow-up care when authorized.
- Evaluate and document emergency medical condition status when clinically supported and permitted under Florida law and supervising-physician protocols.
- Perform follow-up evaluations and re-evaluations.
- Monitor patient progress and modify medical treatment plans when appropriate.
- Prescribe medications when properly delegated and authorized.
- Perform approved in-office medical procedures when trained, credentialed, and authorized.
- Coordinate care with the chiropractor, medical director, imaging centers, specialists, attorneys, and other healthcare providers.
- Communicate with the remotely located supervising physician as required.
- Complete accurate, individualized, and timely EHR documentation.
- Complete examination reports, progress notes, referrals, orders, and medical narratives when appropriate.
- Respond to medical-record requests and assist with insurance or attorney documentation.
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, medications, home care, referrals, and follow-up recommendations.
- Follow HIPAA, infection-control, prescribing, documentation, supervision, and patient-safety requirements.
- Participate in periodic chart review and quality-assurance meetings with the medical director.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Florida Physician Assistant license.
- Current NCCPA certification.
- Current DEA registration if prescribing controlled medications is part of the position.
- Current BLS or ACLS certification.
- At least one year of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong physical-examination and musculoskeletal-assessment skills.
- Experience in personal injury, PIP, pain management, orthopedics, urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, or rehabilitation preferred.
- Strong EHR documentation and medical-report writing skills.
- Comfortable working on-site with a remotely available supervising physician.
- Able to work independently while following established physician protocols.
- Professional, ethical, dependable, and comfortable working in a growing clinic.
- Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
Schedule
- Part-time
- Approximately 2–3 days per week
- Weekday schedule
- Specific days and hours negotiable based on clinic needs and applicant availability
Compensation
- $45-55 per hour, depending on PI experience and responsibilities; or
- A negotiated daily rate for scheduled clinic days.
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
