Service Administrator Job Description
The service administrator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the work order for the service department. The person in this position reports to the Parts & Service Manager.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Coordinating with the service technicians and service manager on the completion of work orders.

Answering the telephone and taking service calls, also backup to the parts department.

Opening repair orders and processing those repair orders to the completion of billing.

Posting the technicians labor hours to the repair orders.

Scheduling the planned maintenance contracts.

Processing manufacturer's warranty claims.

Putting together billing for work completed.

Reviewing timecards for service employees.

Assisting the Parts manager with clerical functions required.

Closing parts orders.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous experience in material handling or another related industry in the area of parts and service product support.

Proven customer communication skills, with the ability to handle calls from customers with issues.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
-
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
-
Typing 55 wpm.
-
Previous data entry experience a plus.
