- Associate Stylist: 2–5 years on‑floor experience

What You’ll Do (Level‑Specific)
Associate Stylist (2–5 years)
- Deliver precision haircuts, color, and styling for a luxury clientele
- Conduct thorough consultations and recommend services/retail
- Manage your schedule and maintain professional station standards
- Execute advanced techniques appropriate to your skill set; participate in on‑floor training
- Mentor junior team members and support salon initiatives
Advanced Stylist (4–8 years)
- Deliver advanced haircutting, creative color, and bespoke styling
- Lead technical services: complex corrections, advanced balayage, extensions, smoothing treatments
- Perform high‑level consultations and build/retain clientele
- Mentor Associates and Assistants; collaborate with Creative Directors on techniques and initiatives
- Contribute to marketing, education, and guest retention programs
Master Stylist (7+ years)
- Deliver elite‑level cutting, creative and corrective color, and high‑ticket services with consistent excellence
- Execute signature complex corrections, precision color design, extensions, smoothing systems
- Manage a robust, self‑generated clientele and achieve retention/revenue goals
- Lead, mentor, and develop salon talent; design curriculum and influence creative direction
- Represent THE LOFT at industry events and advanced trainings
Who You Are (All Levels)
- Cosmetology graduate with a valid Massachusetts cosmetology license
- Fashion‑forward, polished, and passionate about delivering luxury service
- Strong communicator, collaborative team player, and professional presence
- Reliable, punctual, business‑minded, and focused on client retention and retail sales
- Eager to learn, embrace new technology, and participate in ongoing education
- Must wear all black; presentation is professional and the attention is on our clients, not us
Career Path
- Clear progression: Assistant → Apprentice → Associate Stylist → Advanced Stylist → Master Stylist → Creative Director
- Hands‑on, floor‑based training led by Creative Directors; mentorship includes real client work, technical refinement, business coaching, and performance goals
