THE CLIENT
Tinker Air Force Base is the host site for the Air Force Sustainment Center. The mission of the Air Force Sustainment Center is to Sustain Weapon System Readiness to "Generate Airpower for America." The Center provides war-winning expeditionary capabilities to the warfighter through world-class depot maintenance, supply chain management and installation support. The mission of the 72nd Medical Group (MDG) is to enable medically fit forces, promote expeditionary medics and improve the health and wellness of Team Tinker. The 72nd MDG provides a wide array of outpatient health services for more than 64,000 beneficiaries.
CORE DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures.
Perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties including filling new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions,and entering orders into databases.
Perform information consultation duties including supporting new and refill prescriptions, supporting patientrequests, supporting physician's requests, monitoring for drug interactions, and reporting adverse drugreactions.
Perform quality improvement duties including performing drug storage inspection reviewing expired suppliesand producing error and workload reports and documentation.
Perform supply process duties including placing new orders, stocking/restocking shelves, inventorymaintenance, producing not in stock reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-SystemPharmacists (ASHP) or a formal pharmacy technician program (i.e., technical, hospital, or retail-basedprogram) or a formal medical services technician program of the United States military.
Certified as a pharmacy technician by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
A minimum of one year of full-time experience as a pharmacy technician within the last 36 months.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
This position is based at a military facility. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
