Job Title: Food Production Lead
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Food Production Lead to manage daily small-batch salsa production from start to finish. In this role, you will protect our flavor profile and ensure total compliance with quality regulations by measuring ingredients and tracking batch data. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, possesses a strong understanding of food safety standards, and brings previous food manufacturing or commercial kitchen experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Batch Production: Manage daily production cycles from fresh ingredient prep (chopping, blending) through final packaging.
- Recipe Precision: Weigh and measure ingredients accurately according to strict recipe standards and production logs.
- Quality Control: Monitor and record critical process variables, specifically temperature and acidity/pH levels, to ensure product stability and safety.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, compliant daily production, batch tracking, and food safety records.
- Sanitation: Adhere strictly to food safety guidelines (GMP) and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean manufacturing space.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous food manufacturing, commercial kitchen, or batch-production experience is highly preferred.
- Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety guidelines, sanitation protocols, and acid/acidified food monitoring is a major plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift to 50 lbs. (bags of produce, spices, and bulk ingredients).
- Attributes: High attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and a passion for consistent product quality.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
