Job Title: Pediatric Dental Assistant
Location: La Mesa Pediatric Dentistry, La Mesa, CA
Employment Type: Part-Time (2 days/week with the potential for additional hours as the practice grows)
Anticipated Start Date: End of August 2026-Beginning of September 2026

Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, energetic Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the pediatric dentist during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment
- Provide clear, friendly communication with parents and children to ensure a positive experience
- Take and process dental x-rays as needed
- Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and aftercare instructions
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
- Collaborate with the front office team to ensure efficient patient flow
- Support front office team as needed in a start-up environment
Qualifications:
- Current California Dental Assistant (DA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification required
- Previous pediatric dental experience preferred, but not required – a love for working with kids is a must!
- State required 8-hour infection control certificate
- Current CPR certification
- Radiation Safety Certificate completion
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude, team player, and eagerness to grow with the practice
- Bilingual strongly preferred
