The Retail Inventory Manager, employed by HR MGMT 10 LLC as the Employer of Record, will work on-site at one of our brand partners' cannabis retail locations to manage all aspects of inventory control and management. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels, maintaining compliance with cannabis regulations, coordinating with suppliers, and optimizing inventory turnover. The Retail Inventory Manager will work closely with the Retail Manager, compliance, and sales teams to ensure that the store's inventory aligns with business needs and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the cannabis industry or similarly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management and Control:

Oversee the receipt, storage, and management of all cannabis products and accessories, ensuring accurate inventory records and proper organization.

Implement and maintain inventory management systems to track inventory levels, monitor product movement, and prevent discrepancies or shrinkage.

Conduct regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to verify inventory accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure all inventory processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including cannabis-specific health, safety, and labeling standards.

Maintain accurate and organized records of inventory transactions, product receipts, and adjustments to support regulatory audits and inspections.

Collaborate with the Compliance Manager to ensure that all inventory documentation, such as manifests and METRC data, is accurate and up to date.
Supplier Coordination and Replenishment:

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to manage orders, deliveries, and returns, ensuring timely replenishment of stock to meet customer demand.

Monitor inventory turnover rates and adjust order quantities and schedules to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Team Leadership and Development:

Train and supervise inventory staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team skills and productivity.

Foster a collaborative and organized work environment that encourages attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
Product Management and Merchandising:

Oversee the proper labeling, packaging, and display of cannabis products to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maximize sales potential.

Collaborate with the Retail Manager and marketing team to plan and execute product launches, promotions, and merchandising strategies.

Monitor product expiration dates and manage the rotation of stock to minimize waste and maintain product quality.
Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to the Retail Manager and senior management, providing insights on inventory levels, sales trends, and potential risks.

Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and improve overall inventory management practices.

Develop and implement inventory control measures to reduce discrepancies, minimize loss, and improve inventory accuracy.
Coordination and Communication:

Work closely with the Retail Manager, sales, compliance, and other internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient inventory operations.

Provide regular updates to the Retail Manager on inventory status, issues, and potential improvements.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably within the cannabis, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated industries.

Strong knowledge of inventory control practices, inventory management software, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Proven leadership skills with experience managing inventory teams in a fast-paced retail environment.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in inventory management software, METRC, and MS Office, particularly Excel.

Must be 21+ years old.
