Take care of customers, build a book of repeat business, and work a schedule you can actually plan your life around. You get a set day off every single week and a 3-day weekend every other week, with the store closed every Sunday. Grace Auto is becoming the Honda and Toyota service destination for Richmond, and our core standard is simple: top performers, empowered to achieve high standards. We are looking for experienced, high-achieving service advisors who take pride in their numbers and want a schedule and pay plan that reward them for it. If that is you, keep reading.
Pay and schedule at a glance
- Earnings: $60,000 to $100,000 per year and more, built on base salary plus commission on your customer-pay production, plus monthly bonuses. Top performers reach $130,000+.
- A standing day off every week, the same day each time, so you always know when your time is yours.
- A 3-day weekend every other week. Roll into Saturday, Sunday, Monday, or Friday, Saturday, Sunday off.
- Closed every Sunday, so a true day of rest is built into your week.
- Strong midweek coverage means you are set up to take great care of customers without carrying the shop alone when it counts.
What you’ll do
- Own the customer relationship from the moment they walk in. Greet them by name, pull up their history, and make every visit feel personal.
- Write clean, complete repair orders and run a written multi-point inspection on every customer-pay car.
- Present needed work with a clear recommendation: needs now, needs soon, and recommended maintenance. Let the customer choose, and make the ask with confidence.
- Pre-book the next appointment before the customer leaves. Every car, every time.
- Ask for the 5-star Google review at the moment the work is done and the customer is happy.
- Make daily follow-up calls and keep your RO notes current so nothing slips.
- Own your numbers: customer-pay gross, hours per RO, pre-book rate, and customer experience. Your scoreboard is posted every week.
You’ll do well here if you are
- An experienced service advisor. The more time you have spent writing service and taking care of customers, the better.
- A high achiever who likes being measured and knowing exactly where you stand.
- Looking to plant roots. We want someone ready to build a book of loyal customers and grow with us for years.
- Confident recommending the work a car needs, and comfortable explaining it so the customer trusts you.
- Consistent and disciplined with follow-up, pre-booking, and clean documentation.
- Positive, professional, and dependable with customers and teammates.
- Bilingual? That is a major plus. If you can build trust with customers in more than one language, we want to hear from you.
Honest expectations
We’d rather tell you now than surprise you later:
- Your pay is tied to your production. Base salary gives you stability, and your real upside is customer-pay growth.
- Your results are tracked and visible to you and to management every day, and posted on the shop scoreboard every week.
- Clean process earns the bonuses: documented inspections, pre-book status on every RO, and current notes. Take care of the process and the pay follows.
- You will work about every other Saturday, and you will never work a Sunday.
- The schedule is a reward for performance, and it stays great when you bring your best to the days you work.
If that sounds motivating rather than stressful, you are probably the high achiever we are looking for.
Requirements
- Prior service advisor or service-writing experience, with a steady track record you are proud of.
- Strong communication skills in person, by phone, and by text.
- Comfortable using a CRM or dealer management system and texting tools daily.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Professional appearance and reliable attendance.
- Able to pass a pre-hire assessment, background check, and drug screening.
