Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your responsibilities will include managing appointment schedules, handling patient inquiries, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Bilingual is highly recommended including but not limited to: Armenian, Spanish, Russian
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and clear directions within the facility
- Manage appointment scheduling using electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring optimal flow of daily patient visits
- Verify patient insurance coverage, including health insurance details and managed care plans, to facilitate billing processes
- Handle incoming phone calls professionally, addressing questions about appointments, billing, or general inquiries
- Perform data entry with high accuracy for patient information, medical records, and billing details
- Assist with insurance third-party billing and revenue cycle management to ensure timely payments and claims processing
- Maintain internal communication with healthcare providers and staff to coordinate schedules and share relevant patient information
Qualifications
- Proven administrative experience within healthcare settings or medical offices preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong knowledge of health insurance processes, managed care plans, and medical terminology
- Experience managing electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently and accurately
- Excellent phone communication skills combined with writing skills for clear documentation and correspondence
- Ability to perform data entry quickly with a high level of accuracy; typing speed is advantageous
- Familiarity with insurance third-party billing procedures and revenue cycle management practices
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor in client communication
- Ability to multitask effectively while managing schedule adjustments and internal communications
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
