Job Summary
Seeking a per-diem instrumental music teacher for a school instrumental music program in Huntingdon Valley, PA. The position includes group piano lessons, with the potential for band lessons/ensemble as well. The program typically begins in mid/late September, with some flexibility.
Duties
- Plan and teach weekly 30 minute pull-out group piano lessons that take place at school during the school day, between 9:00AM and 2:30PM. (Lessons can be scheduled any time within this window, with flexibility for breaks, lunch, arriving/leaving early, etc.)
- Direct a 1-hour after-school band/instrumental ensemble rehearsal once a week (3:00-4:00).
- Communicate progress, needs, etc. with the Program Director
Skills
- Experience with school music programs strongly preferred
- Strong keyboard skills
- Background in music education is a plus
- Open to feedback and growth
- "Go with the flow" attitude necessary for working in a school environment. Must be able to make quick decisions when presented with obstacles, prioritizing student safety and growth.
- Clearances required (MMG Music will help the successful candidate obtain all necessary clearances)

Pay: $100.00 - $250.00 per day
