Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from pain management procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition post-surgery, ensuring stability during recovery.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments to evaluate patient recovery progress.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems.
- Adhere to established standards of care and protocols for patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in critical care or PACU preferred; familiarity.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems.
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in patient conditions promptly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
