20 hour per week, 4:00pm 8:00pmSkills include traditional school facility related maintenanceSalary is based on the custodian contractBackground checks required - CORI and fingerprintsAt least 1 year of relevant experience preferredHigh School/Trade School degree preferredCitizenship, residency or work visa requiredPrimary duties include: Keeps school buildings, premises, including athletic fields, sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat, clean, and safe at all times.Cleans and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms daily, in assigned areas, using established practices and procedures.Cleans, dust, and wipe furniture as needed; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors daily; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers daily; refill restroom dispensers daily; in assigned areas.Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.Strip, clean, buff, and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets during assigned periods.Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments.Lock and unlock assigned buildings; secure building when facilities are unoccupied checking for unlocked doors and windows, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights.
