POSITION SUMMARY: To serve all soft drinks, alcoholic beverages and wine according to all PML specifications, and procedures. To provide a dining experience that meets or exceeds members’ expectations. Provides timely and quality beverages to the service staff and performs the duties of for the Lounge members and guests.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Key Tasks and Responsibilities)

Reports to work as indicated on the work schedule and in the correct uniform. Practices positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts.

Correctly sets-up lounge and completes all opening/side work duties to include cleaning, stocking, checking and achieving par levels,

Greets all lounge members immediately, making beverage suggestions and answering questions regarding food and beverage service.

Takes, records and rings all food and beverage items ordered by bar members.

Observes lounge members to ensure that members are satisfied with food, beverages and service: immediately recognizes and responds to any member’s needs and/or requests.

Maintains cleanliness and organization of the lounge area and work areas, shelving and storage areas up to PML standards.

Adheres to and complies with all state/local liquor laws and PML policies regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.

Practices teamwork by assisting fellow employees whenever possible, to enhance our members’ dining experience.

Communicates to the Manager on Duty all situations where a member may express concern or dissatisfaction with any aspect of the dining experience.

Accomplishes all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift. Reports any unsafe condition, unsafe act, accidents and/or injuries to the Chef or other Manager on Duty.

Correctly processed payment for all food and beverages sold.

Performs all duties and maintains knowledge of all standards and procedures, as stated in the PML Employee Training Packet – Cocktail Server
PHYSICAL DEMANDS (Minimum qualifications needed to perform essential job functions)
- Must be able to lift, handle and carry trays, smallware’s and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period of up to four hours in length and longer.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, employees and members.
- Must be able to continuously use fingers to bilaterally operate point-of-sale equipment, prepare and serve food/beverage items.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in high end restaurant, hospitality, or food service environment preferred
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and business-required shifts
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and management
- Ability to quickly learn, retain, and apply operational procedures, menu knowledge, and service standards
- Ability to accurately read, understand, and follow recipes, preparation procedures, and service guidelines
- Current California Food Handler Card, ServSafe Certification, or equivalent food safety certification as required by applicable law
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts, including shifts lasting eight (8) hours or more
- Ability to safely lift, carry, handle and carry trays, smallware’s, beverage containers, and service equipment and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to perform repetitive movements including bending, reaching, stooping, and carrying trays or service items, shakes, stirs, pours, hand and finger use to operate POS as required during normal job duties
- Basic cash-handling skills, including the ability to process transactions, provide accurate change, and balance a cash drawer in accordance with company procedures
