Alpine Adult Crisis Residential Unit is seeking qualified and reliable individuals for Resident Advocates. Residential Advocates will assist with the operation and supervision of residents and will provide support as outlined in the resident’s treatment plan. The Crisis Residential Treatment Program offers crisis intervention and respite support for adults with mental illness. The purpose of the Crisis Residential Service is to avert a psychiatric admission when appropriate or to shorten the length of a psychiatric hospitalization. We are only looking for night shift staff at this time.
The program is designed for adults needing intensive 24-hour support services but whose needs do not require hospitalization. Individuals must meet eligibility and clinical criteria based upon a clinical assessment. The staff is expected to teach daily life skills, meal preparation, and medication administration. Staff will positively assist residents in achieving greater personal life skills, and encourage residents to be engaged in treatment services to the extent that each person chooses to be. This position requires self-motivation, flexibility and the ability to promote positive life skills with the desire to do meaningful work and make a difference in someone’s life.
Credentials:Minimum qualification, High School Diploma or GED (General Education) equivalent. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age; and possess a driver's license valid in the State of Michigan, vehicle insurance as required by Michigan Law, and a good driving record.
The right person will have the ability to demonstrate knowledge of, follow and utilize agency policies, procedures, and standards in the provision of services to residents.
A Pre-Employment Background will be conducted via Criminal (Both State and Federal Finger Printing), Driving, Educational, and Employment record verifications/inquiries.
