Are you a veterinary technician/assistant looking for something different? ACE of Paws is looking for a full-time technician to join our close-knit team. We are New Mexico’s only standalone veterinary physical rehabilitation clinic. We are currently a single doctor practice, but will be welcoming another doctor soon.
We are looking for a technician who is willing to work as part of a team to help the attending veterinarian carry out each patient’s customized rehabilitation treatment program. Every patient’s case is different, and each treatment plan will vary. Prospective technicians must have at least a general understanding of the canine and feline musculoskeletal system and basic anatomy. Technicians need to be detail oriented, skilled in time management, and able to work effectively under indirect supervision.
Veterinary physical rehabilitation takes the rewarding feeling of being a veterinary technician to a whole new level. It’s an incredible feeling to see our patients get stronger, become more mobile, and live as pain free as possible. Our practice utilizes laser therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, guided exercises, underwater treadmill, acupuncture, therapeutic massage, shockwave therapy, and more.
RVT preferred, but all will be considered.
3+ years clinical experience required.
Monday-Friday (must be open to the idea of working Saturdays in the future)
Veterinary Rehabilitation Technician
The veterinary rehabilitation technician’s primary task is to assist the Veterinarian in carrying out the set rehabilitation treatment plan, this includes client education. This will be done under both direct and indirect supervision. Secondly, the tech will assist in various daily housekeeping tasks to maintain the clinic integrity and functionality. Patient wellbeing and safety is a priority when working in our clinic.
